Creating Access Forms Using AutoForm PDF Print E-mail
Access has a feature to create forms on the fly called AutoForm. With this feature you can quickly create generic forms that can later be changed if needed.

Create a Quick Access Form Using AutoForm

  1. Select the table or query upon which you would like the form created.

  2. On the toolbar click on the down-arrow of the New Object Button.

  3. Choose Form.
  4. Choose the type of form that you would like to create. The three main form types are Columnar, Tabular and Datasheet. (Pivottable and Pivotchart will be covered separately.)

    Datasheet
    (most often used when creating subforms):

  5. Access will create the form and open it in the form view. You can then go to the design view to make any needed changes.
