Delay Sending an Outlook Message PDF Print E-mail
There will be times when you have a message prepared and ready to go but wish to delay the sending. You could save it to your Drafts folder but then you would have to remember to reopen it and send it at the appointed time. Instead, you can set the message delivery options to delay until the desired time.

Delaying an Outlook Message Delivery

  1. Create your email message as you normally would. See Composing an Outlook Message.

Outlook Tip From DorisTIP: This setting is dependant on Outlook running and connected to the internet. If you attempt to close Outlook with messages in the Outbox you will be asked if you are sure you want to close. If the appointed time passes while Outlook is closed and/or internet is not connected, Outlook will send once opened and internet connection is restored.
